today has been vastly eventful for me.
i learnt many things today.
first big event of the day. my sister's confirmation event in church.wells. its a very important event for a baptised catholic.it symbolises the affirmation in the promise they have in their faith to God.as well as a new spirtual journey. yup. anyway. its jus a really meaningful event for us la.today. i officially gained a REAL god sister. real one lo. not those type in sec sch..everyone asks if u wana be my god sis/bro thing. this one is official k..my god sister (sharon Jie) has been wiith my cosin for about close to 8 years already.even though she isnt leagally married into my family. i already feel the family-ness with her.its really cool that she has the same interests as me. haha. food, music, style, n shopping!!! hahas.anyway. im really glad beacause, my sister, and my god sister got confirmed today.this means ALOT to me. yupp. been looking forward to this day for a llooooong time le. hahas.congratulations sharon jie n mei mei... haha..:)))-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
while i was in my godma's car on the way home just now. thoughts struck my mind. the circle of life.on one hand. the birth of a new born is beautiful. the growing stages of a child rewarding.the teenage years pure rebellion.the young adult times maturing.being an adult where u will always be working.next comes retirement with short healthy days numbering.then oldness and age suddenly blocks the path. and one ages drastically. soon. a walking person is wheel chair bound then bed ridden.soon enough. pale and frail, on a bed. waiting to see the grand children that she longed for...waiting painfullyto see them before she goes.sighs. my grandma's older sister. going 89 this year..i went to see her jus now..omg. i realy felt like crying. the one bubbly, friendly old lady.is now skinny, frail and very weak.it was a heart wrenching moment for me. i suddenly felt that life is fragile. really fragile. u know. while i was standing there lookin at her. i suddenly got scared of growing old. if im nt wrong, her husband passed away. and she had left were her daughter and her son in law, with her grand children who are PRs in Australia.sighs. her grand children are over there and arent able to get a flight back so soon.i really feel sorr for the old lady. she cant talk because theres too much phlegm, she cant really move cos of her osteroperosis. it hurts so much for her to move. she's so afraid of being alone. when we wanted to leave the hospital, she grabbed my hand and didn want me too. my heart was in such anguish. i really cant describe how i felt. but i had to go. we all had to leave. and she reluctantly let us go off. my grandmother told me while leaving the hospital, that the old lady wasnt in good shape, my grand mother said her sister's eyes didn look good. and that she was only fighting to live on because she wanted to see her grand children who she loved so dearly. and missed so much. wells. lets just hope they get back home to see her soon.u can never undermine the power of a longing heart. longing to see loved ones. never undermine it.. may god bless her with a speedy recovery......-----------------------------------------------------------------
